"some very smart people that are being unleashed within their domestic team" - yes, indeed, & the broader company as a whole...

hat's off to them all for this one, reasonably hot on the heels of Pimp Your Plane & the accompanying flight with live bands on board...

there's a few names mentioned in the media today - messrs bayliss and jones amongst them - but it's important to remember that the delivery of this stuff crosses online sales, revenue management, aircraft & in-flight teams, and so on and so on. just goes to show that the senior management team have the airline working really well in harmony.

can't wait to see the next gen seats and cabins they're deraming up. the impending tit-for-tat with virgin blue will be interesting... Virgin's COO is ex-Air NZ, he will be relishing the chance to have a crack... & he's up against some smart cookies with alot to protect. Virgin have the bank balance and intestinal fortitude to take a long view here, even with other seemingly bigger opportunities like Asia and W.Cost US calling. how long will 1-off "special interest" flights and all the positive PR help keep Air NZ in favour?
