Lance – I’m pretty sure the owner gets advised that a ‘bid’ has been placed and a chance to but it back – by paying the extra redemption fee, during the three month hiatus before the domain is allowed back in the system. ‘Snatch’ is a great way to see what was big in the news 12 months ago, and a good way to find a business name ;-)

if MG’s comment is true, then no ethical issues for me – aside from the redemption fee, which feels like extortion to me.
I liked Rowan’s comment on his blog that this is a good way to shop for company names..
