The mysterious disappearance of Michael Carney

Michael Carney is a marketer that sends out an occasional newsletter to the community. It’s quite good (the last one even quoted my father :-).  Michael is a influential guy on the NZ scene – he even wrote an excellent book on Trade Me. I do recommend that you subscribe t0 the newsletter if you …

AFR will not go free, BusinessSpectator launches

Fantastic news – AFR.com.au has redone it’s moronic pricing scheme,  which charged readers (whoever they are) anywhere from $25 to a staggering $150 a MONTH. Rest assurred – they have now come back to reality and are charging just $109 for non subscribers, and $45 for subscribers. That compares favorably with the WSJ.com site, which …

And yes, the ridiculous BS press releases are flying into my Gmail box. This is why I don’t speak at or attend very many …

Leopard. The Install in pictures.

Well my cunning plan of having Leopard sent to me failed – it didn’t show up in time before the goods inward at work closed on Friday, and so I went out and purchased another copy at 6:20pm on that night. All is not lost – my parents will now be the proud owners of …

Red Sox 3-0

Can the RedSox actually win another ‘World’ Series championship? The Red Sox had a 1918 to 2004 losing streak that makes the All Blacks woes seem trivial. Intriguingly and cleverly this season the Red Sox bought (for over $100m) on board a star Japanese pitcher –  Matsuzaka. Matsuzaka added to the fortunes of the team …
